I admire the diamond (not only are they known to be a girl’s best friend) but because they endure tremendous heat and pressure within the earth’s surface. Diamonds are the hardest known natural material, and while being tough, they can also be brittle during the cutting process. Traditionally diamond cutting is considered a delicate procedure requiring skills, knowledge and tools. The final goal is to produce a jewel where the specific angles between the facets optimise the diamond’s distribution of light. So why am I sharing this because what if the diamond can be a reminder of what we are and what we can be?
What if we too go through a similar process as the diamond, for example, heat from the pressures of life can reposition us, and while we can be strong at the same time, we can find ourselves being vulnerable. When we decide to go through the process of personal development, we can start to cut away habits and mindsets that no longer serve us. I wonder if it’s then that we can reach our full potential that benefits not only ourselves but also those we do life with.
So why all things relationships, because I believe how we relate to ourselves and those around us, makes all the difference. It might be obvious, but communities are made up of families, and the family unit is made up of individuals. If the individuals are doing well in their families, the community does well also. While there are things that we can’t control, but what if personal development is something that we can. On a finishing note, you have what it takes, and I am excited about the future. Let’s do this!
